The Lord’s Majestic Creation

As I sit outside this beautiful spring morning, having quiet time with the Lord, I am reminded of the majesty of our creator. Listening to the waterfall, enamored by the cardinals with their flamboyant red feathers, watching all the different birds feasting from the bird feeder, enchanted by their sweet chirping, enjoying the fish swimming in the pond, gazing at the trees gently blowing in the breeze as the morning sun glistens through the leaves, fascinated by the squirrels and chipmunks playfully chasing each other; delighted by the breathtaking array of gorgeous colors of all the flowers; it is undeniable that there is a God who LOVES us! This brings to mind Psalm 90:114, “Oh, satisfy us early with Your mercy, That we may rejoice and be glad all of our days!” As I close my eyes, I begin to imagine heaven. How could it be anymore majestic and glorious than this?

In Genesis God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them…” We are truly a blessed people! The Lord, “according to His divine power has given to us EVERYTHING that pertains to life and Godliness” (1 Peter 1:3), “to bless us exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.” (Ephesians 3:20)

The Bible says in John 1:1-4, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.” Before we ever took our first breath, the Lord knew us. Psalm 139:1-6 says, “O Lord, You have searched me and known me. 2 You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. 3 You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways. 4 For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether. 5 You have hedged me behind and before, And laid Your hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me…” It goes on to say in Psalm 139:13-18 “For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. 14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.15 My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. 17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! 18 If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; When I awake, I am still with You.”

Jesus there knowing us before we were created, preparing our destiny with a vision, fashioning our days before we had one of them, but in him “dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; 10 and we are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.” Not only was our bridegroom our creator, but He also gave His life — that we could have life!

So, let me ask you; How could you find any greater LOVE than this?
